Dreams Jade Resort and Spa
Choosing a family vacation spot can be tough, there are so many options and you want to pick the perfect spot to spend your precious vacation time especially if those days are limited. Well, look no further than the Dreams Jade Resort and Spa! When traveling, we like to keep family in mind. We look for places with things our kids will enjoy and have something that caters to everyone in our family, this hotel had everything we were looking for and more! Here are the reasons why we loved the Dreams Jade Resort and why we think you will too.
Location
The Dreams Jade Resort was situated on the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Riveria Cancun. The hotel is on the beach and for the most part, was well maintained, in the morning the seaweed is cleaned up by the staff which makes for the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The beach isn’t huge, and a little rocky but was blocked from crashing waves by a rock wall. The water was clear, calm, and safe enough for our girls to dip their feet in the water and play by the shoreline. We were a 35-minute drive from the airport, so you want to make sure you give yourself enough time to return to the airport to catch your flight. The hotel is within a 13-minute walk of the Arrecife de Puerto Morelos Nation Park, which could make an excellent day trip and family outing.
Room
We were traveling with my mom, husband, and two girls so we booked a Junior Suite with a rollaway bed. The space was a good size and we felt like we had plenty of room to move around, but the bathroom was the star of the show. It was huge and had a separate toilet room, walk-in shower, and giant jacuzzi tub that our kids didn’t want to leave. There were also dual sinks that made getting ready a lot less chaotic. Our room came with a balcony, and partial ocean view that was great for having your morning coffee or cup of hot tea. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, so there wasn’t much more that we could have asked for!
Food
The Dreams Jade Resort is all-inclusive and has plenty of options to satisfy the whole family. The food we had was wonderful, even the buffet had some showstoppers. I loved grabbing fresh juice from the juice bar and fresh fruit smoothies for the kids and enjoying the ocean view from the restaurant balcony. This hotel features Asian, French, Italian, Mediterranean, and of course Mexican cuisine. Every restaurant featured a kids’ menu, but to be honest, the food was so good our girls were enjoying adult entrees with us! My recommendation would be to download the Hyatt Inclusive Collection app and make reservations for the Teppanyaki Table at the Spice Restaurant featuring a hibachi grill show. Our personal favorite was the Italian restaurant Capers, but you really can’t go wrong as all of the restaurants were delicious. Except for Teppanyaki Table, all of the restaurants were easy to get into and didn’t have a long wait if any at all.
We love all-inclusive resorts for the flexibility it provides us when dining with little ones. The waitstaff were all very pleasant and accommodating offering a little entertainment or special treats for our girls when they were starting to get antsy. They even had delicious mocktails for the kids to enjoy and overall made for a pleasant dining experience. Coco’s coffee featured desserts for a late-night treat after a long day of fun.
Activities/Amenities
There was a kids club that offered fun activities like face painting, arts and crafts, a bungee trampoline, and movie night. The kid’s club was open from 9 am-10 pm and had separate clubs for kids 3-12 and a teen club for ages 13-17. They even offered lunch and dinner if you register. We didn’t use the kids club but there were a lot of kids there for your little ones to make new friends.
There was a spa where my mom and I had a massage, took a dip in the pool, and relaxed in the hot tub while my husband watched the kids. The spa was beautiful and featured a spa plunge pool, sauna, and a relaxing environment to indulge in while on vacation, and is adults only.
This resort features 3 pools, a swim-up bar pool, a sunbathing pool, and the main attraction, the kiddie pool. Our girls had endless fun in this pool in this pool and it offered a safe place for your kiddos to run around while parents could relax in lounge chairs while still keeping an eye out. There was fun at the beach and pool and we didn’t feel we needed to leave the resort but the concierge offered excursions, zip lining, and adventure for the whole family. The hotel offered pizza making for the kids, mini golf, games at the pool, and shows at night to enjoy. Our goal was to relax and this hotel offered the perfect environment to do so.
Bottom Line
This was a great spot to take our family for a vacation. The room was nice, the food was good and the amenities were enough to keep us busy and satisfied during the day. We booked this all-inclusive vacation using Chase Ultimate Reward points and transferring to Hyatt and felt like it far exceeded our expectations for the price!
